The church is made up of real people with real lives, real joys, and real sorrows. Life Groups are our primary way of connecting these real people in real relationships. The church is truly the church when people live life together. So come share a meal, share a story, and share life with us!

Life Groups at First Hewitt may look a little different in personality and week to week needs. However, all FH Life Groups are unified in their core emphases. These are:

FAMILY

we are committed to living as the family of God in our home groups through diversity of age, profession, race, nationality, etc. God’s family is most perfectly seen in diverse people enjoying the blessing of God’s new family, a family unified in Christ!

FELLOWSHIP

The Christian life is not just a matter of praying in a closet 8 hours a day and reading the bible the other 4. A vital part of Christian living is connecting with one another to enjoying meaningful friendship, relationships often most purely experienced around a dinner table.

FORMATION

This occurs a variety of ways, not least of all through prayer and scripture. Formation times are moments of intentional growing together in the Way of Jesus.

MULTIPLICATION

The Christian life is inherently missional. We desire members of Life Groups to mentor and be mentored by someone intentionally. We hope that friends and coworkers outside the family of faith are invited to join. We pray each group will cultivate a heart for reaching the nations.
